I got a V6 about a year ago. It recently died. Their customer support/warranty support is terrible. I literally couldn't get a real person. They sent me the completely wrong part and it didn't fix my issue. When I went through the text message automated response process again (yes that was the only way I could resolve the issue through responding y/n to texts which seemed cool until it send me the wrong part) they tried to send me the wrong part (again). I complained over email and they responded with a video of how to install the part (which I did and it didn't fix my problem). I finally got someone, via email, to send me the right part but the experience was so bad I will not be buying a Dyson again.

Awful experience with Dyson and refurb V8 via Newegg deal here. Never again.
No. The V11 Animal at BBB is on sale at $499, but if you call they'll apply the 20% coupon, making it $399.
I ended up getting that when I missed the WM special for the V10 absolute. At least in the US, they don't sell a V11 with the soft roller. They say you don't need it with the torque drive since it adjust automatically to a lower speed/suction when it detects hard floors.

True, their customer service phone system is less than ideal. But once you get through to a real person, they all seemed nice. I had the same experience, text messaging troubleshooting service sent me a V6 motor and body assembly (I paid $30), it showed the exact issue that as my existing motor. I went through their Return menu option and finally got to talk to a person. She said they will be sending me a replacement battery for free since they incorrectly diagnosed it. They also sent me a return shipping label for the motor and will reimburse $30 when they receive the original part back. My V6 is more than 4 years old.
I got v10 absolute from last Walmart deal, its great so far.
I've been tracking the Dyson V7, V8, V10 deals... new and refurb. This Total Clean V10 seems to be the best deal... but still cost over $310 with tax and all.
Is this worth the investment or should I wait a bit longer? Any other suggestions on getting a new vacuum. My house is single story, under 2000sf. Tiles, wood floor and some shag carpets.
You're right -the V10 comes with the Torque head (I thought it didn't), but the V11 adjusts the suction automatically depending on the type of floor. This makes it go easier on hard floors.

* You can add extended warranty very cheap - refurb comes with just 6 months.
This is what I remember from the two times the v10 absolute refurb was available (which I missed both times)
