There have been several deals posted for different sizes of this year's Q90 (Q90T) and Q80 (Q80T) at greentoe over the last few days. For me, a successful price of $1799 (with no CA taxes) for the 65" Q90T is the best deal so far. Model QN65Q90TAFXZA:

Authorized dealer as with all greentoe sources. With no tax in CA, this is roughly equivalent to ~$1650 at other retailers depending on where in CA you live. Naturally, YMMV in other states.
Obligatory statement (1) that the Q90T is closer to an upgrade to last year's Q80R rather than Q90R in certain respects, such as number of local dimming zones. Even so, compared to pricing on last year's Q80R at similar time of year, this 65" deal looks pretty great to me. In addition, vs last year's models, Q90T features:
1) much better game mode picture quality,
2) future proof in at least one HDMI port for next-gen consoles at 4k 120hz, and
3) being widely available, unlike the Q80R or Q90R.
Obligatory statement (2) that depending on your use case, another brand may be better in either picture quality in dark rooms (LG OLED) or value if you're willing to compromise on picture quality, brightness, and/or viewing angle (Sony X950H or X900H). For my use case, which combines web browsing, gaming, and general TV usage in a room that isn't perfectly dark, from what I've seen, the Q90T is the best option.
Again, your use case may vary, and while these factors matter for me, they might not for you, in which case you can by buy a different brand or try to find last year's discontinued Samsung model.
Hope this helps someone else get a good deal on the best TV for them!

I am just disseminating this information. Not trying to thread cap. But people have right to know what they are buying for premium money. Note: last year's Q90R had a 10 bit panel.
from an ebay seller. it was posted on slickdeals.
EDIT: it was $1899, i suck at math
