Same thing?
something about a hassle-free prime return makes it worth few dollars more
also amazon might push the price down, maybe
$66 is definitely lowest big retail price https://www.google.com/shopping/p...851/online
just plop it down on any table, slide it on when you are ready, one button press and 20 seconds later done unless you want a second pass
later sync to phone or tablet if you want, optional
if you like browsing the actual monitor and want all the features there, this is not the device, it is functional minimal
but it is fast and quiet and smooth, and no wires or cables at all
still on my first AAA batteries, easily hundreds of readings
you can use the omron app or the kardia app (same company) or I think other apps just use the omron API and you can even make it go into google fitness, etc. but I haven't fiddled that much

maybe check Sunday for price drop since they tend to play games like that, slight bump before drop, I've noticed weekend prices go up and like Thursday they go down

I've never seen a calibration function
I think the key is you have to wear it distinctly above the elbow, not touching the elbow, it needs to be at the same level as the heart
shoving it up your armpit even slightly is also a mistake, the heart is lower than armpit
I get almost the same reading on the left or right arm so it's at least consistent
this diagram is helpful

btw another good reason to buy from amazon vs ebay if you are worried about accuracy, good luck with ebay return
I wonder if some of those on eBay are from other participants in the program as many did not continue the study after the first 3 months phase 1. There were over 7000 participants in the program who got the Apple watch 4 and the blood pressure cuffs for free if completed the phase 1. I know some people sold the Apple watch 4 immediately as they can use other Apple watch in the study.
After a year and a few days with over 100 measurements and weekly data transfer, it is still on the original battery.
the key to a good blood pressure monitor is how little hassle it is, otherwise you just aren't going to use it, with all kinds of cables and wires and stuff
this just sits like a tube on your table top and when you want to deal with it for 30 seconds in morning/night you just pop it on your arm in a moment since you've learned the exact position to sit and place it, press one button and I think the full cycle is like only 20 seconds, really fast
you don't even have to sync to your phone right then, just let the recordings build until you have a moment someday to push the sync button and the last 100 recording from any day/time pop over to your phone or tablet
you don't have to use the omron app, it also works with the kardia app and others
only problem now is amazon has smart-priced it to $69 but sometimes late Sunday or Monday night the prices will drop across the system again - ah I see what they are doing, it's tied to the walmart price now

This is what the kardia/omron app looks like, you can see where I did a manual reading afterwards on my old cheap wrist monitor which was way off in comparison
this was a bad week with a gallstone attack, you can see it build Thursday-Friday
