This is much better than the Woot deal. A few dollars more, but Costco has much better return policy and service.

A friend of mine told me that he had a 20 min phone conversation while cutting the lawn (the noise cancellation works on the speakers and on the microphone). I wanted these because I bike ride and wanted the Transparent mode so I can hear my music and what's going on around me. I put them on in my car when I started it on a very hot day. They were in noise cancellation mode. Obviously, my AC came on full blast, but I didn't hear it at all until I switched to transparency mode before I started driving. Are they worth $220? That I cannot say. What I can say, is that they are worth substantially more than the $30 pair I was using.

Can't wait to try them while cutting the lawn this weekend.

I returned mine last week due to the crackling/static issues. I bought them back in January.

Applecare covers damage I believe for 2 years and it looked like costco sells applecare a little cheaper ($22.99) than apple. I just ordered without applecare, but really debating if I should as it on, even though I used three Costco Citi card.
