I've been putting putting my refurb. 55" from delz4stelz original deal post through it's paces with a critical eye looking for problems for more than 5 weeks now and I gotta say I'm extremely pleased. I apparently won the panel lottery. Even the grey uniformity is great, better than my Samsung-7 series, Vizio-V series, and especially my TCL-5 series TVs. HDR and HD SDR content look so good its breathtaking, and the slow screen response time that the Rtings.com review warns about isn't nearly as obnoxious as I was concerned it might be. All in all, this is by FAR the best looking screen I've ever bought, and my refurb. reported only 140 hours total running time on it in the service menu when I fired it up first time.
The new H8G model has much better response time, but the H8F still has superior contrast, black uniformity, color gamut, and color volume.
Here is the head to head comparison at Rtings.com: https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/c...eshold=0.1
Note: the original deal was available for the different sizes about 1/2 the time for a couple weeks after it was blocked as expired here at Slickdeals.net. Also these can be returned directly to your local Walmart if you get 1 broke in shipping or whatever, and protection plans are cheap. Example: 4yrs on the 55" cost $34.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

I've been waiting to get a 50H8G but, this one is $100 less, is the newer model worth the $100 difference?

I bought and am returning H9G because it gets uncomfortably hot. Any issues with heat on H9F?

It really depends on you. For me, if money was irrelevant it would still come down to whether outright picture quality or fast response time for gaming was more important. If you study the Rtings.com H8F vs H8G side-by-side comparison, you'll see that they scored the H8F down hard in every viewing category over the response time. If not for that, it looks to me like their scoring algorithms would have the H8F actually edge the H8G out.
Comparison here: https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/hisense-h8f-vs-hisense-h8g/839/11725?usage=11114&threshold=0.1
Its worth reading their full reviews of each too...

Ahh, nope the H8F isn't but the H8G is. I had forgotten they added that for 2020. BUT strangely, the H8F has better color gamut and color volume than the H8G.

Thanks for the clarification

Anyone know the warranty?

I am also considering a LG 50UN6950ZUF. It appears to be the same panel as the UN7300 and on the 50" that means a VA panel (instead of IPS on all the other sizes). Walmart online is OOS, but my local store still has some available for $278.

Is this true? Wherever I read they are saying H8G has quantum technology and it's best with colors.

Is H8G better or H8F better or H65 series?

New 65" H8F is available at Costco for $569 with free shipping. Better to go with this as it's new and will have more years warranty when purchased with Costco credit card.

Buying a refurb TV is about as risky as eating a gas station hot dog.
