I wish I could go full usb-c but the convenience of all my old chargers with USB-A and then just being able to carry a wire no plug when traveling to friends or where ever is nice. Not to mention my computer is still A as is my cars Android Auto head unit.
Maybe I'm behind, but all my USB power outlets are type A, so these are still all I use.
All my chargers are still USB A and I don't want to change them because
1, I don't wanna pay to replace all of them
2, I'd then need separate chargers for all my other devices that use Micro USB cables and I'd find it incredibly annoying to always have to have 2 chargers when I could just use one for free
3, friends couldn't use my chargers
4, I couldn't charge my phone in friends houses and cars because their chargers have USB A ports.

Thank you very much for posting this deal and the discount code! I have been wanting to buy some of these cables for a family friend who is in need of them, and I missed the last deal on these cables by a day. If this code still works, I will be seriously excited to be able to buy them for my family friend, so that he will have some extra cables around.

Thank you very much for going out of your way to post this deal. I really appreciate it!

Btw, I have bought these Aukey cables multiple times in the past and they seem to be good-quality, reasonably long-lasting cables, from what I recall. And this is a fantastic deal for these 2 USB-A-to-USB-C cables, in my opinion.

C Rating on fakespot. Compared to others this is good... Most are either a D or F...

Do people generally have a use for cables like these? In my experience everybody around me who has gone USB-C has gone full USB-C with powerbanks, computers etc to match meaning all they use are C to C cables with no real use for A to C. This feels like a halfway solution that will become ewaste sooner rather than later.
My oneplus charger has a usbA out so i need these cables. "Most" computers only have 1 C port, so you need one of these to medium charge (alot of pcs will put out 2-3amps, but stick with 5v) while you type. I agree that a lot of chargers/bricks are C to C.

I maybe oldschool but when I moved into this home, all their wall outlet are USB-A set up. I don't want to replace them all, it'll cost a fortune.

Is there a home out there that has USB-C wall outlet set up already?

Are the iPhone set up for USB-C too?

From my following of these deals over the years, it seems *most* people do still use this type. The outliers are usually the ones that want it to be USB C on both ends.

You can always order 3 in 1 cables for around or just over $3 each from AliExpress... Lightning, micro USB and type C, with the typical USB end. We have several USB-C devices in our house, and I don't see that changing for a long time. The price is also excellent regardless

There are many different devices and users in my home, and I'd wager the vast majority of people and families are in the same boat.

The e-waste comment is a good one, and a real consideration. So I'd propose that this A to C solution is better than recycling ♻️ or donating all of my USB A power bricks just yet. They have many uses and much life left in them. Remember that compulsory upgrading is just consumerism and not really a SD.
