I thought cotton masks were no better than using a bandana
Bandanas are made out of cotton. It doesn't matter if the cotton covering your face has gang-related designs or is plain white, they will prevent the spread of respiratory droplets.
I thought cotton masks were no better than using a bandana
That's a generic statement that can't be proven nor disproven. However, bandanas allow a lot of air flow around the face, and are a single layer of fairly thin cotton.
These masks are triple ply and presumably more face conforming.
So these > bandana. In fact, just about anything > bandana.
It's certainly better than nothing at all. Seeing as so many people in the country whine at having to cover their face, caving to their desires for any type of covering could prevent more unneeded deaths.
Yeah, you read an article so you probably know what you're doing. Definitely more than people who've devoted half a century to learning and studying the topic. They're so stupid, you're so smart.
Can't wait for Fauci to come to your work and teach you how to flip burgers.
No, he did not and he's constantly misquoted. What he said was to not wear a mask because first responders needed them and there was a dearth of PPE available at the time. He said to stay the F home and let the people who are on the front lines of the pandemic protect themselves with the limited number of masks available, which they desperately needed and you didn't for your trip to Starbucks.

At the time we didn't know how easy it was to spread via respiratory droplets. What's obvious now wasn't so obvious 4 months ago.
