If you are in the market for a dashcam, you should check out dashcamtalk. They have writeups on various dashcams, as well as videos showing the quality of the videos those dashcams take.

I have this cam. It's easy to remove the memory card, doesn't require you to disconnect the cam or even move it. May be others do, but I don't need the footage unless anything happens and it would be quick to just insert the memory card into a reader (desktop, laptop, mobile, etc.).
It does but requires a hardwire kit. I think I bought one for $15 on walmart.com. You could also buy directly from Anker. I was able to have them send me a free suction mount by emailing them.
I've generally liked Anker for battery banks and cables, but I'm not sure about their dashcam line. The stuff I've seen from them available at Walmart has not been received super well, if I remember correctly.

Knock on desk, I've never had an accident, but I've always been tempted to get one of these just for the accountability factor for when the inevitable happens. I've also never done the research to answer any of my mounting questions.

Are there features that are important to look out for? Something that records even when you're not in a car (eg. to capture someone who backs up into you in a parking lot when you're not around)?

Are there models that allow you to recharge at home and that operate on battery power? I assume stringing the cigarette charger cable all the way around the car is a pain to facilitate.

Probably irrational to think about this one, but a coworker caught someone who stole from her car because she had a model that recorded the driver as well. Is that prevalent?

At ~$100, is something like this worth picking a budget model?

Is image stabilization/night mode actually a strength/weakness of any cameras of this size?

No WiFi, pain to transfer files then.
How much of a pain? It doesn't transfer by hooking a cable from the camera to a computer?

What is the regular price on this one? Is it a SD? I've been wanting a dual facing car cam for a while but I'm unsure of how big is this discounted?

Does this have motion detection in parking mode or just collision detection?

So will an interior dash cam (not rear) will be able to record if you're rear ended?

I'm interested in something like this. Tire was slashed few months ago I was wanting one that can record 360 degrees around car, with a 24 hour battery so I dont have to hard wire it to the battery and hopefully wifi connectivity so I can have it connected to my home wifi and live-feed and alert any time it picks up "an intruder". My concern is "false alarm" BS such as animals, passerby etc... I havent done much research other than looking up 5-10 on Ebay. Any professionals in the field that can recommend a good device with said features around $100 mark?

*I'm aware 24 hr internal battery is a stretch but shooting high here lol*
