32GB RAM is only $60 more.
1TB SSD is only $100 more.
Neither of these upgrades add to the size or weight.

This is overpriced. Wealthy people love to show their Status. Often those who suffer from Affluenza can't tell small details like 32GB RAM or 1TB SSD. Advertising RULES!
Actually, this is a very decent price for this notebook. You won't find cheaper with a 2070 in it.

Agreed. I bought this laptop a week and half ago when it went for $1399 last, (It often drops to this price for a few hours and sells out) and I'm typing this on it. It's an excellent value for the price and only needs a secondary storage drive to be rounded out. I added a 1TB MX500 and I don't feel it needs anything else.

The RTX 2070 in this laptop is a beast. It appears to be one of the 2020 refresh models with 115 watts TDP and it really shows big improvements 1660TI laptops. It also outperforms all RTX 2060 mobile cards and is only outperformed by newer RTX 2070 Super (non-MaxQ) and full RTX 2080 mobile models.

That said, there are likely to be RTX 3000 mobile laptops out early next year that will probably be better for ray tracing. We're also yet to see AMD's ray tracing answer which is set to arrive by the end of the year.

However, if you need a power gaming laptop now, this is one of your best options for playable ray tracing and great performance across the board.

I appreciate the feedback.

Can the RAM be upgraded?
Yes. Both modules are easily changed out by removing the bottom panel. I confirmed both are removable; no fixed RAM on this laptop.

Any decent relatively thin gaming laptop with a QHD (Not UHD) screen resolution? I'm waiting for the g14 Zephyrus to be available in the QHD variant, but other options are appreciated.

This is overpriced. Wealthy people love to show their Status. Often those who suffer from Affluenza can't tell small details like 32GB RAM or 1TB SSD. Advertising RULES!

$1400 gaming laptop a status symbol? Lol, what would you call a reasonably priced laptop then?

Very rarely is a "status symbol" this useful, but ok. I think you missed the part where this has the 2070 card.

Great deal, make sure you wear it like a necklace and walk down the street with it on, just to trigger that peanut in the first comment.

This seems to be the standard price for this item; I'm not sure how much of a deal this is:

I got this about a month ago. Performed great, however, it booted to BIOS every time it was first started in the morning. Called MSI and they confirmed defective, so I returned it. Seems like a one off issue because I don't see others posting about it.

I ended up getting the Costco deal for $1199 for the GE75 Raider. Little bigger at 17", but not as good a graphics card. For $200 savings, I made the change.
