Solar is not for everyone. It is a big buying decision and should be carefully planned out, similar to buying a house or a car. Do your homework and ensure that it makes sense on paper for your specific needs. The best way to compare solar quotes is before incentives and look at the price per watt. Please note Tesla will price match but you will not find a lower price.

Current pricing before incentives (federal is 26% and local varies)
4.08 KW - Small: $8,200
8.16 KW - Medium: $16,400
12.24 KW - Large: $24,600
16.32 KW - X-Large: $32,800

The PVWatts Calculator https://pvwatts.nrel.gov/ is a great unbiased tool provided by the US Dept of Energy to provide a good estimate of your solar production at your exact location.

Here is a guide for calculating your ROI(return on investment) or Payoff.

Hmm... Says $1.49 after Federal Tax Credit which means it's based on a specific system to maximize that credit. No idea what their pricing is since their site isn't working with Chrome for me, I even disabled Ublock origin and privacy badger.

Is that a good deal? Can someone provide feedback?

EDIT: Appears as though they reduced the base system only

Nobody in the industry has lower prices on solar than Tesla. The only way to go cheaper is D.I.Y.

I'm confused. Someone above said only the base system was reduced in price.

Tesla streamlined their pricing on the different sizes of solar systems. The solar industry prices smaller solar systems at higher price per watt compared to larger systems. This is usually due to the overhead cost and labor are more expensive percentage wise on smaller systems. But Tesla has decided to do the same price per watt regardless of the system size. Great deal.

Price includes all parts (panels, inverter, disconnect panel, mounting, low profile skirting, Permitting and interconnect fees) and labor. 25 year panel warranty. If you have a freak weather issue then it is an insurance claim. There is no preventative maintenance (unless you think somebody is actually going on roof to wash panels) since there is no moving parts.
Everyone's situation is unique and only do it if it makes sense financial on paper or you are rich and making a statement. I have a Tesla solar system and work in the utilities industry. You can PM me if you have detailed questions. I am happy to help.

Guess it's not for me:

$0 Savings over 25 Years

Savings are based on the average amount of electricity a 4.08 kW system can produce and the average price of electricity in your state over 25 years

Installation and inverters are included, but I doubt anyone's quote includes batteries.
