Student discount, you can either be a college student, parent of a college or a k-12 student, or go to college within the next year for a hundred dollar discount. This laptop is a good deal even on full price and there is a 100 dollar discount now.

Do note, this version does not come with the AniMe Matrix as shown on a lot of reviewers' laptops; that version is almost $500 more expensive, and hasn't been released in the US yet. IMO, it's a really cool feature, but really not worth $500 nor the cut in battery life.
This laptop IMO combines the best in portability, lightness, power, and gaming capability all in one very nice package. I was stuck between this and the XPS 13 9300 for months, and ultimately I caved and bought this. Don't regret it one bit.
