HVAC coming in two weeks for a new install and I'm supplying the thermostat. I'm going to try to return the switch thing or flip it on ebay as I don't use alexa.

Not a bad buy as I had 10% off for my birthday at BB.

I am in the same situation. Had the 10% off and new construction having to supply my own thermostat. I also plan to sell the switches on eBay. Don't forget to check with your electric and gas company as well for rebates

Already applied for the $100 rebate. Since BB values the switch at $0, returning it is pointless. So don't undercut me on the ebays laugh out loud

The "5" which they dont call 5 is quite a processor upgrade and glass screen. I plan to turn all the amazon stuff off and well it will be on its own vlan without internet.

I got two from my local utility deal. Then I found that the utility wants me to have a heat pump or else they will claw back most of the savings. One of my system is vanilla AC and hence, I am trying to sell the still unpacked unit (the latest model Ecobee SmartThermostat) for $189 on Craigslist Atlanta but it's not moving.
