Very attractive for an I7
Looks like soldered memory - so maxed out at 8GB

Looks like there only one slot and also the panel is TN.

Also there is no Backlit Keyboard.

Man 8GB is not cutting it these days.

If the RAM was upgradable and had a backlit keyboard, this would be a slick deal due to Covid prices.

Just curious. How to determine if memory is expandable? Thanks

You can get a faster Ryzen 4600H with a dedicated GTX 1650 for the same price.

The model according to Sam's Clubs listing is 15-dy1971cl. According to crucial.com it is 2 banks with a total memory capacity of 32GB. See the following:

Scroll down far enough and it states:

"Memory (RAM): 8 GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM (1 x 8 GB)
Maximum Memory Expansion: Memory slot not user accessible"

See further explanations below as this does seem to be possible...

interesting.. how does crucial get a total max of 32gb? i thought ram chips only come in 8, 16 sizes? (you only have 1 slot to work with) you would have to insert a 24gb chip? am I looking at this correctly??

Memory upgrading requires removal of the chasis. HP doesn't consider that user accessible. It is doable.

There are 2 slots. You can replace the 8 with a 16. Look at YouTube for instructions on opening the 15 series case to access the memory.
