If you get rejected sometimes there are errors in their automation side or just simply discrepancies. I have always called the reconsideration lines for credit agencies and sometimes even gotten approved over the phone.
At the least it will tell you why you got denied and it will be a learning experience. In this specific case: Always call

Ideally you get both...and the business version of the cash card as well.
Cash rewards (assuming top BoA status) gets you:
5.25% in a category of your choice- changeable monthly
Personal card choices are: gas, online shopping, dining, travel, drug stores, home improvement/furnishing stores.
Business card choices are: gas, office supply stores, travel, tv/telecom/wireless, computer services, business consulting
and
3.5% at grocery and wholesale stores
Premium card gets you 2.625% on non-category purchases.
(also $100 global entry credit, and a $100 airline incidental credit, so easy enough to offset the $95 annual fee)
So this can set you up with, for example:
Cash personal card giving 5.25% on online shopping and 3.5% groceries/wholesale clubs ($2500 per quarter cap on this BTW that's the nearest thing to a "catch")
Biz card giving 5.25% on gasoline
Premium giving 2.625% on non-category spend.
That's pretty solid for non-travellers as far as reward rates.
(travellers obviously would still mostly prefer things like 5x UR or TYP or 3-4x MR in those categories... and maybe 1.5x UR or 2x TYP or MR on non-category)
