Smokers are probably the most worth it out of any "grill" types with propane being the least worth it (gas does not equate to flavor thus you must add things in addition to gas to get flavor unlike charcoal/smokers that're inherently pushing flavor). I know propane regular grills is the cheapest method for grilling but I think people really should give smokers a try.. it's not just the flavor, its the extreme tenderness and juiciness they provide that's unsurpassed by other methods.
oos around me too. im actually waiting for the traeger roadshow to hit my local costco on the 31st. from what ive gathered, they'll have a version of the 22 series called the mesa 22 for $379.

Ehh, if you take as much time to study gas grilling techniques as people do smokers, you can crank out some amazing food. I do agree that most people incinerate food on gas grills. Cook a steak to 10-15 degrees below target temp and then let it walk up to done in a covered container and you'll have super tender meat with about 1/4 cup of juice.
Conversely people with smokers over smoke meats to the point of it tasting like an ash tray. Not good either.
I happen to like my Akorn, super flexible and efficient.
Is this worth $349?. I have 2 in stock near me marked as clearance as per brickseek
There will be a day you'll regret not getting it for this fantastic price. I'm on vacation right now and have checked all the HDs through the 3-state trip back home and there aren't even any available and they're all at the $499 price!

Out of stock at the Home Depot in Darien, IL (despite Brickseek showing 2 and the Home Depot phone system saying 1 in stock). Home Depot's inventory system is unreliable garbage
