FYI - Samsung refuse to support Dolby Vision, which is slowly becoming the preferred high-end HDR standard. This should be a consideration at this price point.
I don't believe the 2019 has HDMI 2.1 if you care about getting the new xbox or playstation.
This is screaming. I love my 75" Q90r

It is a little excessive but I got it off a slick deal purchase earlier this year. I love this tv.

I went with the 75" on the Samsung EPP program for $2699.

It was delivered this last weekend and I have really been enjoying the set. Very happy with the purchase.

I thought UHD was the lower end LED type of TVs and QLED AND QLED were better. So why is this Samsung pretty expensive? Looking to get a 80"+ TV that I won't be disappointed after a few years.

Q series means QLED so it's Samsung's newest top LCD. Other than 8k which no one needs

Actually sorry. This is last years top LCD from Samsung. Its more we'll regarded than this years. May be missing some features but haven't looked. I'm waiting on a good deal from the 80r which is also last years just a tier below this one.

Overall I think it's a great deal for an 82". I'm in the market for a 75". So $3200 is at least $700 off my budget. But Most tv buffs would say pick up last years qr models v this years qt. Panel is better. Also it's hard to find Last years models right now. At least from reputable vendors.

I'm in the exact same boat as you! Actually looking for 2x 75" for ~$2500 each and from my research, I'm on the look out for a Q90t deal since Q80r sets seem no where to be found.

Visio quantum x is supposed to be coming out later this year with an 85" for 3K. I'm still learning about TV's so not sure how they compare, but I'd have to think if this one is over a year old it may not have the latest features. Any thoughts on this?

The 85 Quantum X will be a better option. It will go head-to-head against the Samsung while even outperforming in other metrics. By end of year a discount of $500-$1,000 is expected off of the Vizio MSRP.

Dang it I just ordered the q90t 85". I wish they made this in 85". I've heard it's get more dimming zones than Q90t, but I've also heard the tech on the 90t helps with making it comparable. Not sure if I should cancel and get this or just stick with the 2020 model.
