Costco has the new 2020 Vizio V51-H6 36" 5.1 Channel Home Theater Soundbar System for $199.99 + free ship. Includes the 2 year warranty from Costco plus their excellent return policy (sound bars are not an exception item and fall under the satisfaction guarantee, with no written return time period).
Requires membership - but all other stores sell for $249.99 currently, so essentially pays for a membership with the discount.
This is the new 2020 redesigned Vizio 5.1 system. Other noticeable new features compared to the last generation: this has a dedicated aux or Bluetooth input specific to smart devices. This allows your Alexa or Google Home to always work, regardless of what input you're on, as it will temporarily switch to the virtual assistant input the moment you use the command (requires a smart device). Will be very nice to not have to remember to switch to Bluetooth or aux for the soundbar to play your smart device audio!
Also, this has two new EQ modes:
Dual Stereo - giving equal sound to all 5 speakers no matter the audio codec from the TV.
Front Surround, using DTS Virtual X to simulate surround sound, no matter the audio codec from the TV, with all 5 speakers in the front, in the event your room isn't really set up for rear speakers to be placed behind or to the side of you.
Being so new, very little reviews, but some Reddit posts have already said this sounds much better than the precious SB3651 generation. It defaults Eco-mode to "off", so it won't always turn off after a period of time like the older generation, and it doesn't have audio sync issues, like the others did. Seems great so far! I have ordered and waiting for the delivery.

Final side note: Sam's Club has the same soundbar and deal right now.

Might have just been a bad unit. Not going to swap it out for another one?
I have two older models of these sb4051 and this one but older gen, I have had great experiences with both in bedrooms and a small living room. I had similar issues of audio lag and stuff but messing with the settings between my tv and the soundbar I was able to fix it.
Not mind blowing or anything like that, def not the same as surround sound through a receiver (I've always used Bose and that will cost you $500-$600 min) but overall for $200ish, it'll get you 60-70% of the way there in my opinion, especially in bedroom. not sure you can beat these in terms of balanced quality and price in the lower price ranges.
Yea, major bummer, seems like this was removed to save their team from endless update maintenance related to casting.
