I had actually already placed my pre-order the minute pre-orders opened. I tried to place a second order to get the EDU discount, but I got a message saying that there was a problem with my payment method. Turns out I didn't have enough credit left because of the first order. I was able to quickly request a credit increase and the payment went through. $3,161.88 out the door with $13.68 for overnight shipping and using the Payboo card.

Damn I didnt think of that! it would def compete with the canon r6 and i think it would be a better buy because of price.

If you are big in to astro video/photo, this is the best. Hands down.
If you need a hybrid but don't need 4k@60p, the A7iii or A7riii or A6600
If you don't need video, A7iii or A6600 or A6400/6100 (NO IBIS)
If you MUST have 4k@60p AND take a ton of pictures AND don't mind overheating AND don't mind a recording limit of 30 minutes or less per clip AND have $$$$... the Canon A5
Pick up the Tamron 28-75 lens for cheap and it's all you need.
