I miss the days where you could get Yamazaki 12 for $49.99 or Hibiki 12/17 for $54.99/$119.99 at Costco no limit. Age statements have ruined harmony for me unfortunately Frown

Yama 12 was never that low. Costco had it for MSRP at $79.99. Hibiki was 59.99 but most markets are 64.99 now.

I like it just fine. I, however, don't believe something is good because it is expensive or hard to find. To me, this is very middling. I would rather spend on a different bottle.

But that is just my opinion. Others have different opinions and should do as they please.

I'm a islay type of guy, I do like Suntory just to change the pace. But I do agree that too much fireworks sometimes is just advertisement.

For being close to LA, this isn't that rare. Most Asian supermarkets, let alone Japanese specific ones will have this.

I'm not in LA but even our Asian supermarkets have these in stock. 99 Ranch, H-Mart, and Hong Kong based supermarket chains.

Personally at this price point, I prefer Nikka from the Barrel but if I need Japanese hard liquor, I'll wait until I'm over there or bring a bottle home in my check in from the supermarket. The last few times I went, the airports only had the $100+ minimum bottles and not as much variety. The options are good but I'd rather hit up a local store and pick up multiple options for less.

thanks for sharing. its been a while that Harmony is being sold at Costco. If it's available elsewhere it's usually over $80 which I think is too much...

What's cool about costco liquor is that you don't have to be a member to buy from there, for texas at least. Sadly I've never seen hibiki there, but I've gotten the blantons baby 375ml bottle there before. 1st few days of the month seems to be the best time to check your favorite liquor stores to see if anything new came in.
