0.5mm or 0.7mm? Any recommendations/preferences of one diameter over the other? Yes, I know one is thinner, one is thicker. Does one get a significantly stronger lead with the 0.7mm, and possibly longer lasting and more visible at the expense of significant decrease in writing precision with fine lines?

As you know it's a trade off.
I slightly prefer .7 because I think it breaks less. I notice no difference in precision. I use darker lead like 2b.

Wish this was the .9mm. Still great pencils though. Love how the eraser last a long time with these.

0.7 lead size now sold out.

However, this 5-pack of 0.7 is a reasonable fallback option. $1.36 per unit vs. $1/unit, but still an okay price.
