I use the top and bottom laser for transferring measurements from floor to ceiling.
This is very useful for putting up light fixtures as you can measure off a wall and have the ceiling marked with a dot. The alternative is to stand on a ladder and hold a tape measure with two hands and have a pencil in your mouth while hopefully being close enough to the wall that your tape measure doesn't collapse because your helper didn't show up with their ladder to hold the other end...while balancing.

This makes a two person job a one person job. Smilie

I think GLL could be more useful as it shows full straight line...easier to work with when you "see" the straight line imo
