IMO this is as fake Atmos as an Atmos soundbar. Not saying it's a waste of money. But upfiring speakers in no way match the effect of real in ceiling speakers.
Overall these are quality speakers but don't expect much from the Atmos especially if you have taller ceilings.
In my opinion I would just get a proper REference premiere line without built in Atmos and get true in ceiling for Atmos.

edit: obviously you must have an Atmos enabled receiver to have the Atmos effect.
buyers should understand the limitations of atmos enabled products. they are limited in frequency response and are very dependent on positioning and room size / configuration. as a result you are likely to get far less than optimal results when compared to ceiling mounted atmos set-ups.
unless you are specifically looking for the equipment in one of these bundles, then you should probably be looking to buy your equipment individually and put together a higher quality / better priced deal that fits your exact needs .

Would putting the 440c in a cabinet affect sound quality at all? I'm trying to make do with the limited room I have.
Its a rear ported speaker so yes, it will impact the sound quality if its inside a cabinet. Also having any rear ported speakers too close to a wall is bad. I believe you want 4 inches away from a wall. Now will it still sound good? Probably, but won't sound its best
Anyone with experience with Atmos how much of an improvement is it?

You're going to want to keep the speaker outside the cabinet as it has a rear firing port. You may get distortion or hollowness from the center. If you use a sub and set a high crossover, you may be able to avoid some of this.

These are my second upfiring Atmos speakers, and I could tell a difference right away. Obviously ceiling mounted would be the best, but these do a pretty good job.
Ok, that makes sense, how much weight do you think it can handle?
I had my 60" 85lb Plasma on top of my RP-450c for the longest time before I wall mounted it. I'm sure the 440c can support around the same weight. They're sturdy speakers.

I believe these center channels were designed to have a TV put on them, if that helps you at all.

More of an actual response. Atmos can be a huge improvement but I'm not sure what your setup is now. Going 3.1 to 5.1.2? Big improvement
7.1 to 5.1.(fake)2 ? IMO wouldn't be worth the upgrade unless it's an older system

Well that's a complicated question.
Keep in mind like most things "Atmos" or object based codec has different quality levels.
These object based (in this case built in) modules fall under entry level.
Since what we hear is subjective, how well this alternative works will vary from person to person.
If you want to learn more on what other options there are, you can look through this and get a better understanding.

Not sure. I would reach out to klipsch or check Google. Sorry!
