I have multiple Wyze cams behind glass windows and they detect motion pretty well. Why would these not work behind glass?
I guess the motion sensor technology isn't the same. Not sure. But doesn't work. Just a heads up for anyone who wanted to use them. These aren't Wyze..

For anyone wanting to know. This will not work behind a glass window. Motion will not be detected.
I have mine pointed out my front door window and it does motion and person detection.

Would these be okay outside under a covered patio? Or are they strictly indoors?
They can be used outdoor. Make sure to not let the rain or the sun get in it

Interesting. Actually, I've heard that all of the Eufy outdoor cams have issues with motion detection. Wasn't sure about the indoor cams. Thanks.

Can anyone speak to the audio? Using the Wyze... You really only have one way audio at a time which then = two way.

This is tempting. Can anyone who owns this camera give some input?
Here are the points to keep in mind
1. Great quality video
2. Quick response (It doesn't take few seconds to load live video, it feels almost instatnt.)
3. Support for Apple Home Kit and secure video. If you have eero or Linksys Velop, you can tighten the security even more by using Apple home kit support.
4. No IFTTT supoort.
5. Great value at its current price, more secure than Wyze(another cheaper alternative) if you are in apple ecosystem

Color is much more vivid. Detection is also on spot. I used it as baby monitor and in the living room.
Is the one-way /two way talk clear and loud? Need to talk to kids while I am away. and how long does it record? (I have two wyze indoor that record 12 second a clip)

It works for me behind the window facing street. Motion detects correctly.

I have mine under the little awning the garage door is in looking at the driveway. No issues yet and currently in the middle of hurricane Isaiah. Been up for about 2 months now in NC summer humidity too.

I don't have one so I can't comment on that, but I noticed an answer by Eufy in the question and answer section which seems relevant:

Will the motion detection work through glass or is this also a passive IR system?
No, it won't. The motion detection will be affected by the glass reflection.

From some recent reviews online
  • Simultaneous live cam viewing is one key feature missing in Eufy App that is there in Wyze.
  • Wyze offers 2FA, eufy is yet to deliver on this a year into user complaints. Security concerns abound too with eufy's app and homebase hitting Facebook, google, etc and there's no way to block it that I know of. The latest is how the web GUI streams all your cameras regardless you turn them off from the app.
Last is a biggie. There was some recent server outages that rendered all my cameras useless. Initially they excused it as a server update but after the second one they said they started migration to AWS to meet the increasing demand.
Never happened with Wyze or Arlo and it was perplexing to me how Eufy actually thought they could handle this in-house. Based on their business practice releasing some crazy amount of products each year, lack of security, and shady connections I'd say they're bound for a breach soon.
In short Wyze and even Arlo seems to stand by its products and enforce security. Eufy seems to not care about security and its yet to prove they're not just out for sales and later implement planned obsolescence.
  • I spoke to Eufy on the phone and on live chat on the internet and when asked if an outage would happen - can my cameras still 100% work and I have total access to my recordings and they said yes, as they have NOTHING to do with the system once it is sold. I then asked about the outages we have all experienced and read examples people have posted on here and the Eufy community pages....and their reply was that they know NOTHING of any problems and that their can not be any problems. I was then told to email my concerns in.

  • The cameras are marketed around privacy and local storage, which are the primary differentiator from competitors like Ring. While it makes sense that certain features would require cloud servers, it doesn't make sense that the product fails almost entirely when those servers go down.

2 ways, it is not excellent. But it is decent. Sometime there is a delay when speaking
