idk, is this worth doing - 7/31 - 8/6 Buy 2 samsung devices get up to $1,000 back with additional line? T&C fine print says up to $900, so? I have a grandfathered plan 4 lines for $100 + $10 ea. addl. line up to 10 total, not sure how to check if it qualifies.

This S20 only has 64Gb memory and no SDcard slots. All the other S20 models have SDcard slots. If you plan on using 5g now this is a good deal as Verizon normally charges extra for 5g and this plan has it included. But I download Netflix movies for off-line and need the extra memory so this phone doesn't work for me.

So the catch is you have to upgrade to a 5G service. Is that right? anybody know how much more that might cost?

You do not have to upgrade to 5g with a 5g phone. You can use the 5g phone on 4g just like any other phone. But in order to take advantage of 5g speeds you need to have 5g service on your plan and the usually cost around $5 per month. However, with this special Verizon only S20 "UW" phone Verizon says they will waive the $5 fee. The downfall with this phone is they removed the SDcard slot and it is only 64G memory. The S20+ has 128Gb memory and an SDCard slot for just a little more cost. However, the S20+ would require paying the $5 per month 5g cost to Verizon if you want 5g. Also 5g is not even available at most places.

It still has the same 128gb storage size. The memory and SD card are different.
