Apple education price = $1329 ($899 base + $250 cpu + $180 ram) with free AirPods.

Let's price AirPods at $130, the effective price from Apple is $1199.
Same price at Costco but with an extra year of warranty.
Another two years of warranty if you use Costco Citi.

I would choose Costco. (Oh btw you don't need to deal with selling the AirPods if you already have a pair).
Hot hot hot. Go for MacBook Pro
Never thought about air flow. Ironic that the air has bad air flow lol

If you already have AirPods, Costco deal is better to pick than Apple deal.

The i7 is less than useless in the air tho.

Just picked up the MWTL2LL/A i3/8gb/256SSD at BB for $850. Thought that was a pretty good deal.

Agreed that i7 is useless in this air as it throttles. Even i5 throttles all the time.

How does the processing power for video editing on this one differ from a 2019 MacBook Pro with similar specs? I believe they have a different processor right?

Air lacks the heat treatment offered in pro, Air is not recommended for video or image processing even the one with exact same hardware configuration, you can google the air vs pro videos on YouTube for further clarifying your doubts
