It is awful on Nintendo Switch. I don't understand how people can tolerate the poor performance. If you have a hacked switch, consider installing tesla overlay with sys-clk module to overclock the Switch a little. Set docked/charging to 1224 and mem 1600. This will eliminate the lag whenever there are many enemies around, like the nordic ruins or whenever more than one dragon is around (literally anytime you use Odahviing and Durnehviir around an enemy dragon basically). You cannot use keyboard and mouse even if connected by usb. You need layeredfs to use mods (special edition-only mods, btw), and that's way more effort than just playing the game on pc.

Just curious - why? Is there an advantage to a physical copy? I just got a Switch and have no idea.

A lot of people like digital for the convenience, but... You can't technically resell the game if you have digital. You'd have to include your account with the sale of your switch to "sell" your digital library too.

This. Resale plus theoretically less to download as there should be a code complete version on the card that would just require update. And... I don't know, I just like having it in hand.

Not 100% sure what this guy is talking about. Is it a flawless port? No I suppose not, but I was able to sink another 100 hours on top of the hundreds I've put in on Xbox and PC. This is an excellent price for a game that has a boatload of content. I paid the full switch price on release and don't regret it a bit.

This game would have good resale value (most Switch games do in fact). Most of my games are digital, but I have certain physical copies as well.

Games that my kids play (like Mario Kart) I try to buy digital because I don't want them taking games in and out my Switch, but even those I wish I had physical, solely for the resale value.

The switch version definitely doesn't look as good as other versions on other systems, but it's the same fun gameplay. I have played Skyrim on multiple consoles and loved it every time, even on the switch (the system I am currently playing it on). It's great to be able to play it on the go.

Personally, I like to OWN my games. You don't own ANYTHING Digital (games, books, movies, music).

You are purchasing a 'limited license' when you buy digital. When you click 'accept/agree', you are agreeing to that. This is why they can shut down servers and/or ban your account with $1,000 (whatever amount) worth of purchases on it.

Some will try and twist or come up with their own interpretation of what 'limited license' means, but it means exactly what is says so read all TOS before buying a download.

I don't buy incomplete/broken/pay me now, maybe I'll fix it later physical games. ie; A game that needs gigabytes for a Day 1 patch.

Do you even own a Switch? If not, STFU.

I spent hundreds of hours on Skyrim the months after I got my Switch, and it was worth every dollar (Best Buy + GCU).

This deal is a great deal, and your logic is just gamer gatekeeping, ego-stroking, and posturing.

Or, should Switch owners just buy/get a PC or other game console to play Skyrim for hundreds of dollars + whatever price you think Skyrim "should" be, and even though they can't play portable in the same way... somehow that's the better "deal"?

Ignore this elitist.

Skyrim is a blast on the Switch, no hacking needed.

If you like RPG's and open world games, and have a Switch, this is worth full price, and is a great deal at this price.

I liked Skyrim more than BOTW, but that could be personal preference.

Just fyi, every version, on every other device is cheaper than this "deal". This includes Special Edition, Legendary and VR.

$29.99 is NOT a deal on this game, it is a cash grab by Nintendo and possibly Bethesda.

Oh and, I wasn't knocking the Switch, I was knocking the deal price...so maybe you need to get over your issues with the Switch, as I do not have any.

I'm looking for it on Xbox One. Where can I find it for cheaper than this? Thanks.
