Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra OVERHEATING ISSUES
The iFixit team took apart the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra and found that underneath the big camera bump, there was something missing, the vapour chamber and copper heat pipes to be precise. The phones that do not have the copper pipes and vapour chamber, instead use a graphite thermal pad that is causing the overheating problem.

What's odd is that some Galaxy Note 20 Phones use the vapour chambers and copper pipes while some don't. There's no way to tell which cooling system is in your phone.
Perksatwork points are showing as pending for me today. So first statement below is not correct.

Perks At Work Cash Back (WOW Points) DOES NOT work here: See Perks at Work Help Center:
https://helpcenter.perksatwork.co...msung-EPP-

"Are there policies with phone Trade Ins?

We do not allow trade-in discounts for Samsung purchases, as noted under restrictions. If a trade-in discount is applied to your order, the entire Samsung purchase will no longer be eligible for WOWPoints."

However, there is conflicting text "WOWPoints are not available for trade-ins (WOWPoints are earned on the subtotal after trade-in)", so one could potentially use to fight if the points doesn't show up. https://i.imgur.com/h6qce9J.png

Wowpoints have tracked for trade-in.

Trade-In Info

If the Samsung is processing trade-ins like prior deals, you will receive instructions by email--along with a prepaid shipping label--around the time your new phone arrives. You will send in the phone only (no boxes, chargers, SIMs, cases, etc.). Phone must be factory reset and have no passwords or locks. Good practice: Make a VIDEO and take photos of the phone, including showing some functions, to prove the condition if Samsung challenges you after inspecting the phone. More details....

[samsung.com]

When/how will I get instructions for trading in my phone? Samsung will send you an email with the subject "Welcome to the Samsung Trade-In Program." The email will arrive anywhere from the day the phone ships to a few days after the phone arrives. It includes a link to download a pre-paid shipping label. You have 15 days from receipt of the email to ship the trade in. You can also get the shipping label for the trade in from your online Samsung account under order details.

My phone has scratches [or burn in or faulty Bluetooth or fill in the blank]. Will Samsung accept the phone? Will the trade in amount be reduced? According to the FAQ, "Your device must have no breaks, cracks, or other defects that go beyond normal wear and tear." Is your issue normal wear and tear?

What is this bonus credit everyone is talking about? **$50 BONUS CREDIT HAS EXPIRED**

Back in July, Samsung extended an offer to sign up for a pre-order reservation. It included a $50 bonus to be used on Samsung extras when placing a Note 20 order (cannot be applied to the phone...just other stuff like Galaxy Buds Live, cases, etc.). This credit is in addition to the base $100 credit for a Samsung Note 20 and $150 credit for the Samsung Note 20 Ultra.

On August 6th, Samsung sent out an email with a link for the extra $50 credit, then immediately followed up with one with the subject line: "whoops! Use this email to access your $50 exclusive credit and pre-order Galaxy Note20 5G." This second email had the correct link.

Samsung Bonus Credit: Do I have to use it right away (at time of phone purchase)?

Do I have to use the credit at the time I order the phone or can I save it for later? It can be saved for later. When you're given the chance to add accessories/items to your cart as part of the order process, chose SKIP ADD ONS, then Save for Later. The bonus should appear in your cart with a note saying "Redemption details will be emailed within 35 days after your device is delivered."

Am I eligible for an EPP Discount?

Only you can answer that. Visit https://www.samsung.com/us/shop/d...workplace/ for details on eligibility. Try out Unidays, which offers the same discount if you click through their site.

A way to get an extra 10% off after the phone is delivered

After your phone arrives, visit your online account to request a return (under order details). Choose "Change of Mind" as the reason for the return (other reasons might work too). After clicking Continue, on the next screen you may receive an option to keep the item: "We want to make this right. Would you like to keep this product for an additional 10% off?" Two options: accept the 10% or return the item. If you accept the offer, a confirmation screen appears and Samsung sends a follow-up email confirmation.

NOTE: The discount option is not available for items that were discounted previously through the 10% off order cancellation trick. You will not be offered 10% if you already took advantage of the cancel trick for a specific item (i.e., asked to cancel through Samsung Shop app immediately after purchase and accepted the 10% refund offer). So, if you got 10% back on the phone via cancel trick but not other items in your cart, those other items (Buds, watch, etc.) may be eligible for the return trick.

NOTE2: Max discount is $100 per order. I received a total of $93 on the entire order. Around $60 for the phone and $20 for the watch using cancellation trick, and $13 off Buds. The 10% appears to come off the line item price on your order. With discounts, for instance, my Buds were $130. That's why the return trick netted me $13.

How do I redeem my Spotify and Youtube Premium subscriptions?

Credit to RespectMyAuthoritay: You just have to open the respective apps on your new device, login (use new account if you have already used premium before with your existing account) and go to premium and redeem. There is no special code or separate coupon for it. You cant redeem it if you have tried premium promotions with a given account in the past.

Instructions on your Samsung order page: "Open and log in to Spotify app on your new device. Select 'Premium' tab on the bottom to redeem" and "Open and log in to YouTube app on your new device. Go to My Account > Get YouTube Premium to redeem." Again, this is for new accounts only. This does not add time to an existing premium account, and it can't be used on an account that has or had premium. Use a new email/account to redeem.

I skipped add-ons when I place my order and did not use my promos (up to $200). When will my code arrive?

At the time of your original check-out for the Note, the bonus should have appeared in your cart with a note saying "Redemption details will be emailed within 35 days after your device is delivered." In the past, the code could not be used on a phone, just accessories and some other items.

Oof, even though I really like the note series (I love the stylus etc), I think Sammy is going to have a pretty hard time selling the N20 for those prices. No great compelling new features, especially considering most people don't have access to the 5g yet. My guess is most people are going to wait it out.

Great pre-order bonuses and trade in values as usual. Tempted to trade in my Google Pixel 3 for the Note 20 (not ultra), get the $150 credit to use on Galaxy Buds Live.

Wow, $400 offer for my S9+. That's quite an offer and is making me strongly consider getting one.

I do the switcharoo every year.. but not really feeling it this year. The Note 10 Plus I have is fine.

That being said.. new is always fun, and it just kicks my 0% payment down the road another year.

We can 'reserve' it now, when can we actually pre-order?

Hopefully Costco will do a T-Mobile BOGO. If it works out like last time you can still get the pre order stuff though the trade in will probably not be available

BOGO with new line is the worst deal imho, sounds generous but essentially useless. just take 30% off it without any conditions as verizon/att do!

Not true because Costco deals are actual rebates so there is no need to keep the line
