Just an FYI: You can use Sam's Club gift cards at Walmart, which is what I did with the last eGift cards I got for signing up.
samsclub are notorious liars, don't believe anything that they promise will happen in the future.
Jesus you're aggressive. It works online without going into the store, now go settle down.

For example, no matter where you purchase the membership from THIRD party website, such as from this deal or Groupon, the membership needed to be active in warehouse, they will need to take picture, active the membership over their computer/system. Therefore, I'm asking if sams are doing the same as costco. Got it? Now, answer my question if you know something
Last year when I did a similar offer from Groupon, I went inside the Sams Club location and asked for a card, they gave me one without taking a photo, so my card doesn't have a photo of myself. You can also use the built in-app the scan your membership although this wouldn't work for services that require the physical card (ex. Gas). But when I bought my membership using groupon, they sent me a registration link and I was able to login to the app to make a purchase, so no you don't NEED to activate it in-store unless you really want to get the card with it. And if you do get the card, I didn't need to take a photo although I've never been inside Costco so can't comment on what Coscto does.

Purchased, hope I get at least one of the gift cards. I live very close to a Sams Club and the gas prices alone are probably worth a membership.

So far I have only been in-store about a week ago and just last night i received two emails for $25 gift cards. one where I redeem with a code and reveals a barcode/numbers/pin. (looks legit)

Another email i got just has a message with numbers and pin (no barcode). I did not have to copy paste a code to reveal anything.

the egift card numbers are different.

anyone else getting this?

yes, they sent me two different $25 gift card codes last year, doing a similar Groupon deal. Then the $20 code, and all the free food (cookies, fruit tray, rotisserie chicken, etc.) turned out to be a real money-maker for the the initial $45 (less, if you take off the affiliate cash from the Groupon purchase.)

Thank you all for your feedback on this "deal." The Walmart/Sams Club company have always been scumbags but I almost bit on this for kicks until reading all the real world experience. Not worth the trouble to be ripped off.
They ripped me off on the egift card. I had to call customer support to get it fixed. I have to wait 7 to 10 days.

Never would this happen at Costco.

I mean, I've already received the first $25 and used it at a local branch. Will they consider it as I used it at SamsClub.com? In my Sams'Club page, I can see the purchase record though...

You probably have to actually purchase online at samsclub.com. Just order something for pickup at your local club to avoid shipping charges. That should satisfy the requirement for the second gift card.
