I've had my eye on this as well as Dyson V10 or v11. How does LG compare? Since this is a good deal I'm considering buying since Costco has such a great return policy.

I've been doing a lot of research and most comparisons say that the LG A9 is not as powerful as the Dyson V11 but where it excels is with the capability to have another battery ready once the first one runs out of power. This is the most frustrating thing with my Dyson V8. I hate when the charge runs out in the middle of cleaning. I am continuously knocking my Dyson over when leaning it against the wall so I really like the portable charging stand that comes with the LG and especially that you don't have to hold the trigger button the whole time, also.

For the price difference, I am definitely going to give the LG A9 a try. Here is a comparison article that I found:

You're comparing this cordzero plus model to the v11, but the equivalent model would be the lg cordzero w/ kompressor, which is slightly more powerful and priced similarly to the dyson v11. Also, you're comparing the suction while in turbo mode. Most of us don't use that mode for regular vacuuming, as the they can only sustain it for just a hair past 5 minutes of use in this mode from a full charge

Overall, seems like a decent vacuum. But LG's lack of customer service is a little scary

If you buy from Costco, you don't have to deal with any manufacturer service...which all generally suck

i have two questions. I have really thick dense carpet and I've tried cordless vacuum in the past but nothing really impressed me so i gave up on that. i did purchase a dyson v8 about 3yrs. ago and I use that mostly on hard floors only since i don't think it's doing the job on my carpet. so will this lg handle thick carpet. also does the v11 handle thick carpet and can i use the charging stand from my v8 on this or vice versa.

How does people like it? Looks like the collection bowl is tiny? Does people use it for small jobs only?

Why/how do people like it? The collection compartment seems too small for any serious work.

I had the Tyson one. You're right about the collection bin - it sucks. They're so small you have to empty them pretty often and breath all the crap you just vacuumed it. I would say just really think about your use for this for these size models because for the money you could get a regular size vacuum (like a Shark) that works a lot better IMO.

Another thought is having a discreet place (with power) to mount the charging station. Otherwise you're trying to charge it like a cell phone and it can get annoying.

What about battery replacement ? I never even knew they made vacuum so I'm just worried about 2-3 years later.

This looks like a very tempting alternative to the Dyson v10 or v11. It has 2 rollers for the Hardwood and Carpet. Do any of you know what other attachements this Charge Plus version has?

I picked it up. Has carpet and hardwood (the two large rolling) attachments, plus one pointy attachment, and one small brush attachment. Overall, it's okay. One battery goes into the vacuum and one spare has its own charge port on the charging base for swapping just in case you need to use the vacuum for an extended period of time. Both charge at the same time and have their own indicator lights. All attachments also conveniently hang onto the charging base, which I had wall mounted.

Does it come with the power punch attachment? Yellow plastic head for fabric?
