You have a 10" drop, same as me (44 vs 34) which is a little more the the normal off-the-rack suit, so a little tailoring is likely needed for the best fit. 6-7" drop is more average.
Better wait for Men's Wearhouse sale and you can buy a very desert suit for $100. It will be 100% wool. You will be able to breeze in it.

I am in the same boat. I wear a 42L with 32" pants.
I have always bought separates for this reason.

Whew, I was able to cancel the order via chat since they have a two-hour window for cancellations. Lesson learned.
Don't do it. In almost every circumstance it's better to not wear a suit at all than it is to wear one made of polyester. Save your money for a wool suit, even if it's a cheapie wool suit. (But I do strongly suggest buying a nice one; they will last you a decade or more and can be tailored as you gain or lose weight.)
People do notice.
This stuff is garbage. I'd you're looking for something that looks like a suit at a distance and you don't care how it wears, this will do.
