Is this a good deal? I'm not too familiar with the amount of money/tb. Thanks

Instant buy. Solid price point. Didn't even get off the toilet first.

Good deal indeed. This used to be the deal price before pandemic and it has been up since.

I keep seeing ideal price as 15/tb but never seen 10 tb hit that.

It's a good price. Been a little bit lower in the past, but maybe by just 5 or 10 bucks. I jumped on a 12TB for 175 just a few weeks ago.

FYI - the last three drives I shucked from these were WD101EMAZ which run about 10 degrees celsius hotter than the WD100EMAZ

Air filled HGST Ultrastar DC HC330. Runs 10C above ambient. Doesn't seem to be SMR.

I keep hearing about the 10 degree hotter thing... Does this really matter when used in a dedicated Nas box? I have a synology 5 bay

I'm tempted for my server, but I'm only at 37% full on my one 10TB drive in there right now. I then have 3.6TB+ free (on 5TB drives total) on a Synology NAS I bought for Time Machine backups haha. I think for that when 16TB start coming in at this price I'll buy 3 of those to be my new base point for Unraid.

This has been $140 before. Was waiting for that price again, but don't think it's happening this year.

Question for people who already have this drive. Do these (element drives are vertical) tend to vibrate more than the Seagate version (horizontal on he ground)?. I hear more noise coming from these than my Seagate 10tb and 8tb

Former fan of Newegg until they screwed me on a rebate. Hope that $25 was worth losing a customer of 15 years and MULTIPLE hard drives!
