Micro Center has a HP Elitedisplay S270n 27" 4K UHD 60Hz HDMI DP Low Blue Light IPS LED Monitor [microcenter.com] for $289.99 right now. Unsure of shipping, I picked it up same day in store. Great business/WFH monitor that functions as expected. The Micro Center listing doesn't specify the USB-C port, but it's simply an error. Can confirm.

  • 2x HDMI 2.0

Looks like great deal. Has height adjustment too.
Having a hard time justifying the samsung monitor at $330 https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sams...Id=6386391

I don't have MicroCenter store locally. They want $38 to ship to NY. Pretty much a no deal for those who can't do in store pickup.

Does it have the USB-C? Enough to charge a 15" mbp?

PPI is 163, I've been told 220 and 110 work best for the MacBook pro setups. Any input is appreciated

It's a pretty justifiable purchase if it fits your needs. I got one to pair with my new MBP and it's a great upgrade so far. Definitely priced better than like competitors.

That Samsung monitor might be worth it for some folk, but USB-C connectivity is a must have, personally.

The spec sheet is here: https://h20195.www2.hp.com/v2/get...830013.pdf
Yes it has USB-C and it's 60W output. Unsure of the answer to your question, though.

Interesting- the Microcenter specs claim no VESA. I'll update my post- thanks.

No worries, I noticed a couple errors in their posting as well.

I'm not sure if this fits my needs. My current monitor is a 1080p monitor being used for work (programming) as well as sometimes for movies and normal web browser/general desktop activities. It sucks for movies (dark scenes are horrible, can't see anything). For work purposes, I don't know if it's inadequate or not, I just don't know if it could be better.

Don't have a lot of experience with different displays.

Yes. Other differences are that Samsung is 28" and HDR which is missing here. No idea if the HDR produces a difference though. USB-C is nice to have, but to really take advantage laptop needs to support usb-c charging - unsupported on my laptop.

With only being $10 more on amazon and with the poor ratings it has I don't see this as a very good deal anymore :/
