I started building a Ridgid collection because of their LSA, so this was a buying point for me.
In terms of specs they are almost comparable this one having slightly more torque. Not trying to be biased but at least that's what the description states & a bit more affordable.
Although if I had to choose my collection again I would not mind Milwaukee; however the Ridgid LSA won me over.
Not entirely true. The octane tools do have more power with octane batteries. 98% of the time it's not necessarily needed, though

Same here. I considered Milwaukee and Makita too, but the LSA was the difference maker.
For this impact, it sure was nice to have when I found someone's drill bit in my tire. Luckily I was at home when the tire went flat so I could use the impact. Took off the lug nuts like nothing.

Personally I switched to Ridgid from DeWalt 6 months ago for 2 main reasons: 1) LSA is the obvious one. Can't argue with that. 2) Having tools from multiple brands = Too much clutters and too much hassle managing them.
We are all different. Whatever floats your boat. Just wanted to share.

Just be aware, unless the battery comes with a bundle they are only covered by a 3 year limited warranty.
I've had this since release, 2.5 years ago. I would say they are pretty much the same thing(mid torque and this). I have taken off some honda crank bolts the other week with it with just a regular impact socket. Only time I have not been able to get things out are bolts that either take a 1 inch impact or get cut/broke off.
Here in the rust belt lots of stuff is pretty tough but this is my go to gun has completely replaced my half inch ir air impact.
Hard to beat this deal for battery and impact. That in my mind is where ridgid shines 95% of utility for 1/2 the price.

This is why I am buying it for rotating my tires every 5k miles & when I got to patch the tire when needed.
