I just bought this jump starter, and I didn't see any reviews that show battery swelling. Can you point me in the right direction of these reviews, since my purchase is still within a return window.

I had the GB40 and worked great then 1 day it swelled up trying to jump a car and stunk .. and you guessed it no longer takes it holds a charge

That being said I will be buying another one and hope newer models have this issue corrected

I own 2 of these, the 150 jumper for my big trucks and a few trickle chargers of theirs. All great quality, no problems, going on 5+ years

I own the GB40 and have for 2 years now and it still works great. I've had several different brands over the years and this has been the best by far

Too bad Noco forced YouTube to take down AvE's video on this jump pack. He tore it down, tested it and found it was a cheaply constructed POS with false specs.

Scroll down on Amazon's product page to Customer questions & answers. Type "swell" in the search box and you'll see a few people reporting the battery swelling problem.

It's a big lithium battery and some of them are bound to have problems. Just monitor it and if you spot any sign of battery swelling within the 1-year warranty, NOCO will replace it for free.

jumpstarting a car isn't rocket science... I'm old school and I don't believe in making such a complicated device to jumpstart a 12v car battery. I stick with traditional jumpstarting battery pack that use the good old lead-acid batteries. Yes, they are bulky, but I prefer something that can't go wrong easily.

The big selling point for these types are the small footprint/ portability. The huge acid ones take up a lot of space and are heavy.

I carry these lithium jump starter in my back pack, it doubles as a power battery bank. And having it with me all times means it's always in a temperature controlled environment compared to leaving it in your car during summer heat.

Doesn't seem very good in an independent review by project farm. Poor performance https://youtu.be/JN8A2nIMUWA

I had two of these for a year now. So far no issue. Had to use one after one of the vehicles sat for 3 months due to Covid and hooked one of them up and the truck started straight away.

Good to know. He does a great job of explaining things and cutting through the marketing crap. Project Farm has also tried out a NOCO product that ended in failure. To me, NOCO is on the same level as no-name stuff.

Thanks all for the info. I was ready to pull the trigger since I'm in the market for.a li-ion jumper/bank, and I already own a noco trickle charger, but there is no way I'm buying another noco product again after what they did to AvE and the other reviewers. Screw them.
