Monoprice via urlhasbeenblocked has a coupon bringing the price of the highly regarded Monolith M570 Planar over ear headphones down to $170, with free shipping. Retail price was $300, and they compared favorably with headphones costing more than that even at that price.

EDIT: Coupon expires midnight on 8/12/20.

What do you consider affordable for a planar dynamic headphone with exotic wood cups and leather earpads?
I'm kind of getting sick of the snarky commentary on every audiophile post. If you don't understand the hobby, kindly move along.

Thanks for posting OP. I missed the last sale on these and I've been considering the Blon's or Sendy's, but didn't want to drop that kind of cash.

Z Reviews seems to really like them [youtube.com]. Very close to a clone of the Sendy Aiva ($600 MSRP).

This is tempting. I've been looking for a good reasonably priced planar set.

Open earphones let in noise. They're meant for quiet environments. That's partly why the Galaxy Buds Live have bad reviews.

What's the Monoprice return policy like in case the speakers aren't to you liking? Anyone deal with them for returns?

That's good to know. But even for items functionally okay, just not to your liking?

I am wondering the same thing. I have a cheap Hyper X Cloud Stinger headset that was like $39 on Amazon currently and was looking to upgrade soon.

I've had quick and easy Monoprice returns. I previously purchased the M1060 planar headphones, but while the sound was great, they were just too heavy for me. Monoprice accepted the return without any issue.
