They've been doing this for years. C&D is owned by Hearst AFAIK. They aren't going anywhere.
Not really. This has been normal for a very long time. At least 20 years. Magazines make money on ads. Ad prices are based on circulation. They have to sell some magazines cheap to get the numbers they want.

Be aware, when a car magazine offers a 4 year subscription on the cheap, it's a tell tail sign that they are desperate for money. I fell for a similar offer from Street Rodder magazine.. 6 months later they went belly up and I received no refund.
Thanks, that is good insight, and car magazines are definitely hurting the past few years. $12 is cheap though. Any specific indication that C+D print is imminently dying?

I think I got this deal for C&D about 10 years ago. They do it all the time. I don't think they are going anywhere.

Comparing Street Rodders to C&D is apples to oranges.
