I just installed one of these on my Odyssey, just a tip: etrailer.com has great install videos on YouTube that are specific to each car and hitch model.

This is an oddly-specific deal... that just so happens, applies to me. ...But I already bought this same hitch for $40 more last week. Thanks for sharing OP, hope it helps some of yall.

Does U-Haul still run specials for hitch installs? I had it done on my Tacoma a while back and i remember it being not that much more expensive than this, at least under $200. That was with hitch, install and running the trailer wires.

I'll be doing it again shortly. 2018 Odyssey and now a 2020 Odyssey. It's pretty straightforward, remove a trim piece, drop the exhaust to gain access, etc. The bigger PITA is disassembling the interior to put the electricals in. Ultimately it's really just a plug in but to get to the plug is a PITA IIRC.

Protip: the newer the car is the easier these will be to install. The older (and more used) the car, the grimier and/or rustier the bolt holes will be. I've learned from the past to get these and install when the car is new if possible. Previously I've had to retrain or flush rusty/dirty bolt holes which is just an added step and a PITA as most people will be doing this lying on their backs.

Not sure which model he has but I put one of these on my 2014 Odyssey EX-L. Super easy. Didn't need a video. Just used the instructions it came with. Probably took 30 min to install. Bought it on Amazon for $125 but that was probably 4 years ago.

Curt 13068 on a 2014 Odyssey EXL. Got it on Amazon for $135. As I mentioned, the YouTube video was for the exact hitch model on the same generation Odyssey.

Like another poster mentioned you don't really need to watch the video but I think it's worth the 7 minutes to make the install go smoother. I got all the tools set up and the whole process took me about an hour. I cut and replaced the trim piece on the drivers side. This isn't shown in the video but only takes 5 more minutes. You just take off a 1" strip on the side that touches the hitch.

If this is for the Toyota Sienna specific I would highly suggest the hitch that gets tucked in a bit higher. The one where only the receiver is showing when installed. Highly suggest due to ground clearance. If not you would be hitting this a ton going up long angle driveways. Install is just a bit more, removing/cutting the plastic tray and going around the exhaust. Looks way better too.

You took the words out of my mouth. This damn sienna sits so low to the ground as it is and scrapes everything I drive over. If I had NOT got a model with the hitch tucked INto the bumper, I probably wouldn't be able to leave my own slightly inclined driveway. My additional 2 cents

This ground clearance issue leaves me desperately waiting the lease to end so I can never buy a Sienna again

I have this one, install is pretty straightforward and requires cutting the rear valance a bit. There is normally a package with the wiring I suggest if you plan to tow as it's usually cheaper to buy Together. Note early genIII siennas have LED lights which require an additional power cable to battery. Later they switched back to incandescent lights again and no longer needed. Also not that not all siennas come with extra radiator for towing so you are limited to 1500lbs or so

Get the one that is hidden... it's clean looking and has higher ground clearance and you will be less likely to scrape the ground.

Something like this https://www.amazon.com/Curt-Manuf...B07328N5RD
(note:not a better price but it is a better product)

From my research, uhaul installation is around $75. However, I believe you have to buy the hitch unit from uhaul, which costs more. The same Curt hitch unit I found on Amazon was about $100 cheaper than the same hitch unit from uhaul.
