FYI, the OneOplus screen, especially the curve screen is the absolute corner cutting and completely compromised and very "settled"
It will break/crack/shatter on you, even when it sits in your pocket. Mine did it twice after a $200 repair fees from these cons themselves. Never oneplus ever again.

I'll throw my experience in as the opposite. I love this phone, and I'm not sure I want to get rid of it to be able to get 5g from T-Mobile now that they own Sprint.
I drop my phone weekly, have the TPU case that came with the phone, and haven't had a single issue.
What else is in your pocket that the screen broke?

Funny, I used the same case they gave me and it cracked and i wear regular jeans, and not hip at all man.
Mine is the Mclaren and the screen is absolute rubbish and now they don't answer calls for support, not chat support, and email is muted too.
Other than that, the phone was great and smooth as it should with such hardware. But this deflate my high quick http://blog.checkpoint.com/2020/0...big-peril/
I even bought a screen protector for protect it and after the damn repair, I installed the screen protector twice (thought the first one was defective and bent somehow) and discovered a concave area in the middle of the screen and the glue for the screen just pooled there, thus making it impossible to have a clean screen protector installed. Finger print reader was also compromised after the screen repair as well. I followed all known procedures to alleviate it via countless googling and youtube/pm advices. As far as I know now, they have abandoned me, oneplus is a pos to me and countless reddit users.
No more for a barely a month old phone that I paid $899 for

what screen protector did you use that needed glue applied? I've applied hundreds... no glue that pools.
(actually curious)
Some opinions:
Popup selfie cam - not sure of longetivty or duability & feel like it adds a layer of complexity no needed.
Curved screen could cause ghost touches or break if dropped. If they had made the 7P like a bigger 6T, it would have been a nice flat screen upgrade.
Cam is average even with the 3 lenses but deal killer maybe that Google Pixel Cam port - GCam - doesn't work with the wide angle option on the 7P & makes the entire cam app crash.
Deal killer for those that want a Pixel cam experience.
All that said, the big screen is gorgeous.
The scrolling is effortless, smooth & fast.
The thumb touch security is solid.
Oxygen OS is near stock Android with some nice useful features added.
Big battery with long screen on time.
I think @$450 it is top 10 Flagship for 2020.
@$400 it would be overall a better phone than all mid-rangrse out there.

Right, key fob or money clip or lighter etc. in the same pocket as phones can lead to damage.
This won't be getting TMO 5G. In fact they ( depending where you live) have or will soon be shutting down the Sprint 5G that it did get. "Legacy 5G Phones" that Sprint sold their lot of to Woot and amazon sellers etc. much like the V60 and S10 5G.
If you like it as a 4G phone, then great, just don't put any value into it's "5G"

Sorry to hear you had an experience like this. I have been using the 7T Pro McLaren since February without a hitch. This is my second OnePlus phone and I am very happy.
Anyone purchased this phone yet? I received mine today. The box looks like it had been previously opened and resealed. Is this normal? Also, the box says it's the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G. Its purchased as a gift, so I haven't been able to open and use it.

Mine comes in Monday. I really hope it's not refurbished because the listing says new. I will let you know when it comes in
This phone looks sick! Man those specs are tempting. I'm on the fence. I remember when a Nexus 5 was a good mid-range phone at almost the same price. =)
