Apple iPhone XS for $1/month for 30 months with qualifying line of service at ATT (no trade-in required)

Probably the best deal IMO I can find right now on an iPhone. ATT currently has the iPhone XS for $1/month for 30 months ($30 total) with no trade-in required. Obviously, it requires a line of service to be activated and port in of your existing number but still a really good deal if you need ATT service and a new phone. Retail price is $699 so I'm pretty sure if you cancel early, you're responsible for the balance.

Link may not take you right to the deal due to the way ATT does their website but it's there.

Combine this deal with a FAN discount if you're a first responder, school teacher, nurse, etc. and you can have 4 lines unlimited with 4 iPhone XS' for $109/month. $105/month for the discounted plan and 4 iPhones at $1/each. I really don't see a better deal out there right now considering the device cost and no trade-in required.

*Edit. This is a great deal for a multi-line plan. Not so much for single line plans.

Seems to be the $65/mo plan (after autopay discount) minimum. Works out to be $66/mo for 30 months and a $75 initial charge.

Not bad for ATT but I prefer their MVNO's.

65x30.. $1950 and phone cost $700 so almost $1200 for 30 months service turns out $40 additional a month apart from buying a phone at full price

Would like to add some clarity based on my understanding from fine print. This is going to be Bill Credit across 30 months for $29 and also need to add a new line to ATT.

Fine Print about the offer:
Quote :
iPhone XS 64GB for $1/mo.
Get an iPhone XS 64GB for $1/mo. for 30 mos. when you buy it on a qualifying installment agreement with eligible wireless.
Limited Time Offer. Online Only.
You'll need to:
Purchase an iPhone XS 64GB on a qualifying installment agreement including taxes on full retail price (upfront).
Add a line to a new or existing account
Activate postpaid unlimited wireless service (min. $75/mo. before discounts for new customers). AT&T may temporarily slow data speeds if the network is busy.
Then you'll get:
$870 in bill credits applied in equal amounts over 30 monthly installments—sweet!
Important notes:
Credits start within 3 bills. You will receive catch-up credits once bill credits start.
Requires a qualifying 0% APR installment agreement (30-mo. term at up to $30.00/mo.) Other installment options may be available and vary by location.
$0 down for well-qualified customers only, or down payment may be required and depends on a variety of factors.
If you cancel wireless service, your credits will end and you'll owe the installment agreement balance of up to $900.
If you cancel service on any other line on your account within 90 days of activating the line under this offer, device credits will stop.
If buying on the AT&T Installment Plan with Next Up, customer is responsible and will not receive any credits for an additional $5/mo. for the Next Up upgrade feature.
Business customers:
As long as you have a qualified wireless service agreement for Corporate Responsibility User line of service, you can also buy on an Equipment Installment Plan (24-mo. at $37.50/mo. or 36-mo. at $25/mo.) and credits are applied over term of installment agreement.
You'll need unlimited wireless service (min. $70/mo. for new unlimited plan before discounts). AT&T may temporarily slow data speeds if the network is busy. Existing customers can add to eligible current unlimited plans.

Not a deal with bill credits and a $65. plan of which there are taxes/fees to be added in. If you damage/break the phone and have insurance (another $10. mo), there is a $100-$150. deductible and you get a refurbished phone as replacement.

If you qualify for one of their discount plants (1st Responder, nurses, dr's, teachers, etc., or sometimes corporate discounts), you can usually get 4 lines of unlimited for about $105/month or maybe a little more depending on how much your discount you qualify for gives you.

Can you sign on for a plan; cancel service after 1 month; keep the phone and pay the remaining balance on the phone $29 ($30 - $1)? What am I missing?

Bill credits mean you will be stuck with the service in 30 months to get your money back. If you decide to leave early, you will pay the remaining balance on the full non-discounted MSRP price.

If the OP insists that this is a good deal for FAN subscribers, OP should add that to the title stating that it is only a good deal for FAN.
