I know it's free so shouldn't complain much. However, from my experience, their brand of microSD card sucks. I had two failed in the last 9 months. They are totally unrevivable. Granted I got them for free as well. If you plan on putting memorable pictures or important files on it, make sure you back them up. So far, I have pretty good luck with named brand cards, such as SanDisk and even PNY.

The title has never changed for me. :shrug: It still says that as I'm looking at the thread right now. The URL even has the same wording and logging out, still shows the same title and url.
edit: If I were to guess, someone else posted that title and they merged the thread together into my original thread.

Mine aren't the speediest but I haven't had them fail yet. Your advice is sound though in general. Important data should never be kept in 1 place especially a freebie flash drive.

Picked a pair of these up today. The attendant told me it's 'AND', not 'OR'. So i got both for free. Didn't give me any trouble for not purchasing anything else.

They did collect all of my information. Name, address, email.

Picked a pair of these (one 32gb usb-stick, one 32gb microSD card) up today.

I too thought the email was too good to be true, and just said to the cashier that I had an email for a 32gb USB *and* microsd... he picked them up without any fuss.

They didn't "collect" your info. They already had it. Otherwise, how would you have gotten the card in the first place?

Edit: Actually, if you used one of the giveaway cards I suppose then it would be a good time to use fake info...since they would not have your info if you've never given it to them or shopped there before.

I picked one up yesterday. It turns out to be a dud for usb 3. I own 2 Micro Center 128GB and a 256gb drive. They 128GB drives write around 90MB which is decent for the price I paid and the 256GB is slower around 50MB The free 32gb drive which they charged 1 cent on my receipt write around 7MB. Not complaining but don't expect much for a "free" drive.
