After, trying both out the new V51-H6 sounded more crisp and clear with vocals. The subwoofer for both soundbars goes down to the mid-bass range so don't expect movie theater rumbling found in the low-bass range.
Edit: The new model sounds less muddy. However, according to Digital Trends the center channel is lacking for both the old and new models.
