Careful with items from Woot. Even though it may list condition as " new", it maybe used or refurbished. I've had more than my fair share of disappointments from them.

Huh. I've bought maybe 10 things off of Woot and have not had that experience. You know they're owned by Amazon right?

Owned by Amazon helps but isn't a magic wand.
I, too, have had subpar some experiences and am now more cautious and only woot if I am ok if its not 100% new in box from factory.

Even the refurb blendtecs have a 3 year warranty (vs. 5 new). Still dirty to sell refurb as new, but you could immediately call blendtec and find out for sure with the serial number. Even the jar itself has a serial number.
We LOVE our blendtec. We have hundreds of cycles on it. When we bought it 7 years ago the jar design sucked and would leak every 6 months. They replaced the jar 3 times for free and with the 4th replacement they had changed the design. No leaks since.
Ours was actually a refurb unit. back then both new and refurbs had the same 7 year warranty. it's a really great product

That sucks. I bought mine when it was a 7 year on refurbs. Looks like new is 8 years on their site
Bought this last time (with high hopes for a better 'mix') when it was for sale, and I am unimpressed. My 10 year old $35 Hamilton beach does just as good.
Thanks OP! Been looking for a <$200 blender for another space we have, blendtec or vitamix. We've had an older Blendtec Total Blender for years and we love it. Was curious to try a vitamix just to compare for myself, but quite happy to grab another blendtec. This appears to be the update to the older total blender we have. Less programs and speeds, but I don't think I'll miss any of it. Good price too.
