Wait, are you sure this one sucks. Because I was looking at the model number and it looks very different from the others in the past. Not to mention the naming advertising convention. "HolyStone HS470 Advanced Photography Drone with 4K FHD Camera 5G WI-FI Transmission GPS Foldable Quadcopter". (Model Number: HS470/193 Pro). I mean I am no expert either, just never seen model number before. I could be wrong though. Does anyone have any thoughts? Or any Holy Stone advocates out there about this model number?
I bought a DJI knockoff drone (Hubsan Zino Pro) a few months ago and it flies great. But the camera is absolute crap. Great for a beginner but if you want quality video DJI can't be beat. I just purchased the Mavic Air 2 and it is just AMAZING! There is a reason DJI is number 1 in the drone market!

I'm not pro nor con on Holy Stone, but I know that the drones they sell seem to be the same drones sold under other brand names. In the drone world, this situation is rampant. For instance this Holy Stone HS470 looks like a ZLRC SG906 PRO (AKA Beast), which has a 2-axis gimbal. Searching through YouTube review videos you can find some reviews that suggest that the drone flies well and its 2-axis gimbal does an OK but not great job for the video stability. However, there is a NEW 3-axis gimbal version coming out, the ZLRC SG906 PRO 2. Search some Chinese online stores and you can find it on pre-order for $169.99 that includes one battery and a carry bag. To sum up, this looks to be identical to a ZLRC SG906 Pro drone, but that drone is coming out with an upgraded version with a 3-axis gimbal (the Pro 2), which should produce better video stability. I'd hold out for the improved version; a 3-axis gimbal is better than a 2-axis gimbal.

The drone itself is well worth $200. I would highly recommend this for a 1st drone.
the range is not that good though.

What I have found is the video range runs out long before the control range. I've yet to suck it up and try the "route" feature.
