This seems like a decent product with useful functionality. The price is reasonable until the monthly charge ($48/year) kicks in and then it seems expensive.

I will never understand why Amazon doesn't give subscriptions like this for free to Prime members... If you want to sell more and keep people on the service. Charge the $100 and tie the subscription to Prime if people don't have prime then charge the monthly charge.

here are things which makes me opt out -

1) to get your body fat composition , you have to take your picture on phone (not sure if loose clothes are okay) and upload to cloud before getting processed and then deleted.
2) to check your mood, it will constantly listen to your conversation whole day
3) there is no screen
4) there is subscription fee to use this.

i don't see any big value add over fitbit to pay for subscription. i can get more accurate body fat composition using my bmi measuring weighing scale.

Ah yes, the 'were listening to your voice to gauge your mood and not use that data to serve you ads' trick

I use apple watch to not only monitor sleep, activity, and other info such as weather, stocks but also use it as for Apple pay and as an early warning system for home security. All of this with no subscription. Not sure how Halo will actually replace the utility I get from a smart watch like Apple

So they want to track your data and sell it to make money , and the device that does it all for you is paid by you . Awesome business model .

I was excited about this for the body composition, but then saw that it doesn't need the band for that. So no sensors, just photos. You're not really paying for hardware here, you're paying for a service and the ability to volunteer more data to Amazon, all with a subscription fee. It takes extra room on your wrist without providing the time--under the guise that it will free you from distractions.

No thanks, Amazon. Fire and miss.

Serious question, how does one use an Apple watch to track sleep? I have never bought one because I thought they had to be charged every night,

I use the AutoSleep app on mine. I throw it on the charger while I'm in the shower in the morning and again for about a half hour before I go to bed. No problems with battery life here. It's a Series 3, BTW...

It's like they made a smart watch but without the watch.
