When it ends in .96 it's a safe bet they're just matching Walmart's price. For this deal, it's definitely the case [walmart.com]. So there's that option if you'd prefer to buy from there (for example, longer return period).

I was not a fan of this movie, but they did do an excellent job staying true to the book.
They did an excellent job of staying true to the bits of the book they didn't gloss over and achieved a brilliant level of mediocrity in the process. FTFTY buddy.

Eh, they skipped over the entire part about his brother and sister and their inner workings of the political structures.

Cue the Card fans who a) gobbled up the space battles as a kid
b) didn't like the philosophy in the later books
c) ignore / excuse the bigotry of the author
d) see no value in the movie.

Pile on lads!

Yeah, that's what I've heard from pretty much everyone. I guess it is pretty bad. Maybe when it gets down to $5 I'll entertain it...

Agree on it being an amazing book (my favorite) and a not very good/bad movie.

I remember how Walmart had Ender's Game + The Last Witch Hunter + Gods of Egypt physical 4Ks only (no Blurays) for $14.96 (or Target for $14.99) on BF. This deal is $10 for the 4K + Bluray. I don't need any time machine comments. I'm just giving past price info for comparison.

Huh? When did you last read the book? Things the movie ignored: the age of the kids, all the politics involved, Ender's relationship with his siblings (which is critically character-changing), Ender's violent dark side, basically everything in the battle room up until the final battle. I mean, for crying out loud, at one point Harrison Ford said, "We've never seen anyone like him in the battle room," and I turned to my friend and said, "Neither have we." They used cheap dialog exposition to tell us how great he was before we ever even saw him in a battle. No development at all. Utter garbage. It's like a twelve-year-old's book report summary of the story.

I'm just glad it was finally made. It's a decent movie. The main thing I didn't like was the ending. He just rides off into [the sunset] space. Probably because they knew they weren't going to get a sequel.
