5 is plenty for me. TV tech should appreciably change with micro and mini LED by then, maybe even newer tech.
This TV has a 3 year warranty from Sony meaning Costco does not add an extra year. Costco only adds one year to the manufactures one year warranty. Last year the Samsung QLEDs had a 3 and a 5 year warranty and it did not go well for them, that is why this year Samsung is paying for the square trade on the Q6 and Q8 models. Once again Costco adds a second year warranty on TV with one year manufacturers warranty.

Does anyone know if Costco will do a price adjustment on this if I just bought it less than a week ago? Still haven't been delivered.

Once again guys to prove my point search for any LG TV in costco.com and you will see under warranty costco adds a 2nd year because the manufacturers warranty is one year. The Sony TV has a 3 year warranty by Sony therefore Costco does not add another year. You can look at the Sony TV and you will not find the 2nd year warranty at all. Its right under manual and guides.

If I am used to an OLED and a plasma, am I going to be disappointed with this TV?

I have a big basement and like the idea of an 85". Plus it is currently about $1k cheaper than the 77" OLED.

not yet, as soon as the PS5 comes out the firmware update should be out.

I have an OLED by LG and i like this TV better to be honest. My OLED has burned in after 3 years. I mean everyone has different taste so you might like the OLED better but to be honest I like this TV better than my Q80 also.

How are you getting 10% back reliably at BB?

Thanks. I have a 65" LG, no burn in though. This seemed like the way to go if you want bigger than a 77 versus the Samsung. The 950 might be a little better, but it is almost OLED money then.

With 5+ years of warranty, I have a hard time not buying a TV at Costco now.
