That's to see the 4K resolution.... yes, you can sit farther back..but if you normally would be 15 feet away, you can just stay with a 1080P TV.
Human eyes can only resolve so much detail at a given disatance. Which is why the 8K TV's coming out are just silly, no one is going to sit that close to them to make out the extra resolution unless using 120" projectors. For an 85" TV you would have to sit like 1 foot away to see the 8K.

This is 4k we are talking about. Acutally it may be closer by Sony Standard. They have "85 @ 5 feet away..........Im about 9.5 feet away from my screen which is 120"

Okay I get the point you wanted to make.

All tv now are smart and 4K basically. So kind of just looking for panel quality size and hdmi technologies more than resolution at this point. Even the $200 Black Friday tv are 4K.

Question: Mhmm is there any approach on how to decide how high to install the wall mount. Was looking at Sanus wall mount and hopefully it's fine cuz this tv is 100lb.

Wanted to know exact height of tv below a wall mounts location on the wall.

I agree with theory of someone who commented earlier that manufacturers must have overstock of these due to poor tv sales during covid. But I also did read a contradicting article saying that people used stimulus checks towards a 65 or larger tv purchase.

dude i work for costco, like i said look at the sony under manuals and guide and then do the same for any other tv. The sony will not have it.

Yes, finally! Trigger pulled on the 85". This TV has been priced very fairly ever since it came to market, was just waiting for that first price reduction, not sure if it would come before the holiday season. Thankfully it did, and the price drop was more than I thought it would be.

They will want a copy of the manufacturers copy to be send to them. They will only cover what the manufacturer covers on the first year. I have spoken with lots of upset members about this.They preferred amex when we had it.

Costco does not add after the apple care+, costco only adds 1 year after apple's original 1 year warranty dude.

congrats buddy this is a beautiful TV trust me. People in here are comparing it to other TV's playing their own demos. Go to Costco and see it side by side to the Q8 playing the same content and you will see that the 90CH looks better. The biggest mistake people make is that they go by specs all the time and you can't do that. Its like the Cowboys on paper they look great on the field ..... not so much.... one of those TVs was the Vizio PQ. The Sony 90CH or 900H however you want to call it is a great tv for the price and picture and color quality.

New models come out Apr-June typically. The 900H was a little late and came out in June as I recall. Getting one right before new model year is usually the lowest price I've seen in 2 years of shopping. The problem with waiting for black friday is 1) nice TV's aren't often the ones with the best deals; 2) super bowl is better deal on nice TV's but then you start thinking maybe I should wait just a few more months for close-out sales in spring. If you need a TV now, this is a great deal.
