This is a deal thread for The Economist, not a thread for political debate. If you want to talk politics, feel free to visit The Podium. Otherwise, these discussions do not belong here, even if they are loosely related to the product. Further political posts in this thread will be removed and/or warned. Thanks!

And yeah, the magazine has a wide international focus, so not every article is going to appeal to every reader. If all you're looking for is what's happening in the United States, look elsewhere.

Their articles are also well written and researched. I stopped because the subscription was expensive, but at this price it is worth it.

I find The Economist a refreshing oasis of logic in journalism. I don't think the title of Economist is relevant to the quality of writing or articles contained within. Every article is based in facts and data and not necessarily adherent to a financial perspective.

Very good and relevant point about the international coverage. The Economist is still one of the few go-to sources for non-US/EU reporting ; so such that the newspaper is frequently banned by the thin-skinned countries they profile.
I used to tear off the cover off of mine when I traveled to certain countries so it wouldn't get "quarantined". ;-)
A nice price if you have the patience to pick and choose your articles. Thx OP.
