Went to pick up mine and then walked around store to see supply and it looks like it was already dwindling.

For any non-members, here is how you get a "free" Sam's Club membership for 1 year. I literally just did it and it worked perfectly. I put the word "free" in quotes, because you'll have to pay the $45 up front, but you'll get it back in a gift card.

First, go to this URL and enter your email address:
https://specialoffer.samsclub.com/

You'll receive an email with a code in it. Use that code when signing up for your $45 Sam's Club membership. It only took 5 minutes, and you walk away with a membership and a $45 gift card.

Finally, grab your mixer, use your gift card, and you're all set!

Note: I'm not positive, but I believe you have to sign up in person, because they need to take your photo, but I could be wrong.

IMHO more power is needed if you are using this to make pizza dough. I bought this from Sams and the machine was giving out a burnt smell when I was making pizza dough. It feels like these things are more of a novelty item. Yes, I followed the machine recommended settings.

The fact that it is available (in stock) and the extra accessories make it a good deal at that price for sure.

This is a good deal if you want a lift head mixer. I have this mixer, the Professional 5 Plus, and love it. It did not come with the extra bowl, whip and spatula. The smaller 3 quart bowl will come in handy. The Professional 5 Plus has metal gears instead of plastic like the Artisan and other non-pro models. Horsepower is also more for the Professional 5 Plus.

General comparisons:

https://mixitbakeit.com/compare-k...nd-mixers/

Consider a paddle beater with silicon fins, like the Flex-Edge or similar, that act like windshield wipers that cut down on having to scrape the side of the mixer bowl.

The only issue I had was the initial setting of the bowl height adjustment done on first use. I returned the first mixer because it wouldn't adjust to spec. The second one did. Happy, happy, joy, joy.

If you want to make bread, depending on how many times each week, you may want to consider a more powerful mixer.

Good video review by a lady who knows mixers. My experience has been essentially the same.

what do you recommend on the silicon fins? and for how much?

It works well for batters like cakes, cookies etc. Heavy dough like Pizza, or flaky dough like biscuits and scones are better worked by hand.

The only reason I was thinking of spending $250-$300 is for the heavy dough. For Cake batter, even a hand mixer would do.

I was looking at the Costco one, but from the comments here, the costco one doesn't come with the attachments. Does it come with at least the dough hook? Costco one is also 25% more HP. I don't have a Sam's club nearby but I saw a free trial coupon. This will be my first one so I don't know if I need the extra HP.
How much is the Costco one? I recently started making breads and my $110 Sencor mixer from Amazon, purchased back in June just died on me. Standard attachments are dough hook, paddle and balloon whisk, all stand electric mixers should come with it.

A 3qt bowl wouldn't really hold much. I struggled so much with a 7-egg chiffon cake with 4.2 qt.

Is this better than what the typical holiday sales for Kitchenaids have been or is it better to wait when the holiday deals come this year? Looking to get this as a gift this year
Honestly that's the cheapest I've ever seen it there. Lowest I've seen for their version is $299

Do I have to be a Sam's club member to get this offer? I signed in as a guest and the price that shows is $329.98 plus $6.19 for shipping, plus $33 for handling fee, plus $24.45 for tax, for a total of $393.63
I can have it shipped to you for an even total of 300 bucks. Let me know if that works for you! Thanks

You need to be careful and make sure your mixer model number matches up with the appropriate compatible "Flex Edge" you purchase, whether you buy an OEM or aftermarket paddle. Some have only one silicone fin while others have a fin on both edges of the paddle. Mine is aftermarket with silicone on both sides and was less than $20.

Here is a guide for KitchenAid Flex Edge paddles:

https://producthelp.kitchenaid.co...a_Mixer%3F

The Sam's Club mixer's is Model # KP25M0X. I think the "KP25M" is the actual model number of the mixer and the "0X" designates the Sam's club bundle. I could be wrong. You can call KitchenAid and ask about this and which Flex Edge paddle they recommend. Then you can go online and search Amazon for pricing. That's what I did.

Try the mixer with the paddle it comes with. It works though I usually had to scrape with a spatula a couple times more than with the "Flex Edge" aftermarket I bought. It is a convenience, not a necessity. You will still need to scrape with a spatula either way, just a bit more with the OEM paddle. If you're happy with the included paddle then no need to purchase a Flex Edge.

Seems like a great deal! The KitchenAid stand mixer with attachments. May be better then the Costco deal from before.

I bought 6 qrt for the same price from Costco. Of course, without any accessories. But 6 qrt is more important to me.
