If u don't do the latest firmware update in h9g ...h9g wins dark room performance and is better than most TVs under 1700$...hdr looks great on both as they both can get really bright. If you are a gamer Vizio has hdmi 2.1 which the h9g doesn't have.
Wait the update made it worse? I'll have it in my living room, windows are there. Just tryna find a good 65 in under 1k
I've combed through the AVSForum thread for the H9G and there are some truly awful instances of red ghosting and flashlighting that people have posted. Others report minor instances or nothing at all. There's someone from Hisense Canada who has been posting updates on the fix effort. Evidently they've identified the issue but are trying to figure out how to disseminate the fix without potentially breaking those whose sets aren't having these problems.
In theory the H9G is fantastic (even without VRR, eARC, or a true 120Hz panel) but it seems like a decent amount of people ended up with a lemon.

Yeah I'm probably gonna stay away. I'll wait for the 8 series to go back to 1k
Hisense acknowledged there was a bad batch of H9Gs sold but has provided no resolution.
I would steer clear of them if you can afford to spend a little more.

True I just saw the tv at Best Buy and it was jaw dropping good ...if it wasn't for the firmware mixup and skipping every other frame at 120hz thing h9g would have been the best tv to buy this year (for non gamers)

M series is 60hz panel with no hdmi 2.1 ...I don't know about M series brightness but if it's like the 2019 model I'm sure the p series will be much brighter (over 1000 nits).

It does ????!!? Why would they put it on a 60hz panel they only thing 2.1 can do that 2.0 can't is provide 4K at 120hz ...
120 hhz panel, higher nits and more FALD zones make this better and more future proof than the M series. Unless you can get the M series for 600 or less, thats when it makes sense to get it if youre cash strapped. 1k is a great price, Sams has the 75 inch Vizio for 1697, but then i saw the 82 inch Samsung Q6DT for 1599. Gotta look up reviews on it. Both supposed to be 2020 models.
